FAQ:

Q: What is the difference of your Holgas from those from the Lomo Society?
A: All Holga cameras stocked by us are Original.
The cameras bodies are identical to those from the Lomo Society
The only difference is in the packaging and additional accessories
(pictorial book, roll of film, etc) in the Lomo Society version.

Q: You stock so many different models, how do i differenciate between them?
A: We currently stock the 120 Series, the 35mm Series as well as 110.
For the 120 Series, naming conventional maybe denote as follows.

    G to denote glass lens
    C to denote color
    F to denote flash
N to denote nite (Bulb mode)
    S to denote Fixed Shutter

The odd one out is the WOCA, it was the name for glass lens Holgas.
Holga Discontinued the WOCA name in late 2004, early 2005.
From then on, all Glass lens Holgas were labeled with a G.

For the 35mm, we have the MF, AFX, and the "Meow" Camera.

Q: Where to buy medium format film in Singapore?
A: Medium format film maybe bought at the following stores in Singapore.
    Cathay Photo
    Ruby Photo
We sometimes also stock Lucky B/W film, do check with us for availability.

Q: Where to process/print medium format film in Singapore?
A: Many shop do process medium format in Singapore.
The more popular ones are TK Photo, Ruby Photo, Colorlab, Fee Fee located in Town.

Q: What are the approximate costs of medium format film and processing/printing?
A: Film prices start from $3.5 a roll for negative and $4.5 for B/W.
Processing costs are around $4-9, depending on film/slides/cross process etc.

Q: What is Sprocket Photography?
A: It is the use of the entire height of the 35mm negative when exposing the image,
hence the 2 rows of holes or "sprocket holes" along the edges are exposed as well.
The resultant image will be alot wider then normal 35mm,
giving a sprocket ridden panoramic effect.

Q: How to use 35mm film with the Holga?
A: Holgas are able to support 35mm with some minor accessories,
we will be glad to help buyers on their first 35mm roll, do contact us for details.

Q: How to achieve those phycadelic color tones?
Why am i not able to obtain those results like in those online galleries?
A: You need to note that alot of the images online are cross processed
to obtain those effects. So in order to replicate those image tones,
you will need to cross process your film during processing.

Q: What is cross processing?
A: It is the term used to depict the use of positive film in a C41 processing solution
or the processsing of negative film in an E-6 process.
In Layman terms, to process slide film in negative chemicals and vice versa.
The results are fascinating and can give your images a surreal look.

Q: What is Push/Pull Processing?
A: It is the control of Processing Time to manipulation the exposure of the film.
    Push Processing
Giving the film more development time to compensate for underexposure in the camera.

    Pull Processing
Giving the film less development time to compensate for overexposure in the camera.

1 stop means the next step of
    ASA (16, 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 1600, 3200, etc)

Q: What is the difference between the WOCA and the HOLGA?
A: The difference is in the lens, the Holga has a plastic lens while the WOCA has one made of glass. This gives the WOCA a sharper image around the centre of the image then the HOLGA, but the signature vignetting and soft focus around the edges are retained.
