The Matin cloth looks like a rough cloth at first, but upon usage, it's soft and will definitely not scratch your lens at all!
Even with pressure applied, the cloth glided over my lens without creating a scratch at all,
and even remove some fingerprint marks on my filter, instead of just spreading it all over my lens like what most microfibre cloths do. Vulpix0r

his martin handstrap can allow me to "hang" my e-300 w/ handgrip, two batt, 11-22 without the need to grip it tightly.
i usually "hang" camera loose from my right hand for a awhole day shoot. - NMSS_2

yep. reflector is almost a must, unless u're into flashing and/or ur own portable studio lights.
reflector normally give more natural looking lighting on ur models' faces, than flash.
problem of course is dat u need someone to hold it for u, or if u happen to have an extra tripod to hang ur reflector on (not the best option tho).
to buy a reflector, u can get those 5-in-1 reflectors from the usual places like Eastgear, CP or ruby. or, u can PM perly.
he's got a ready supply of reflectors. no particular brand to recommend, IMO, as all of them do the same function.
ditto abt the make-up and water. also bring tissues.... lots of tissues... do remember to bring straws for ur models?
with lipstick on, drinking water from a bottle is a real hassle.

I'm not a guru but I really like my Holga. Its my only camera, apart from my little canon digital which I use to take pics of my son.
I've owned most of the Jap and German brands but I find that the Holga gives me the results I want.
I find that the Holga I bought from Perly is a lot better than the one I got from the shops. Perly's has the 6x6 mask and
little sponge bits to tension the film. It still vignettes, and from time to time will leak light.
I think the main reason why pp get lousy results from the Holga is because they don't give it enough respect and
just anyhow take photos. You still have to focus properly using the scale, compose and judge the light.
If you search enough on the web, you'll see that pp have gotten very good results with the Holga.
For color, I use 100 speed slide film and shoot only in bright light (the Holga is f11 and 1/100) and push 1/2 stops.
I can't get the color I want using negative film. For BW, I use HP5 (or TriX if you can get hold of it) as it has sufficient exposure latitude.

I am using a leather one, bought from CSier perly. S$48.
One thing about this that I like, can remove the neck strap, as it has a additional clip lock to tie it to your wrist.
The one thing that don't like, if you too engrossed in your shooting, your hand will be bound stiff.
And if you need to reach your bag to change lens, your right hand is locked by the clip-lock,
and everything else is one-hand-operation. It is not like your neck strap that you can just let go and do something else with your pair of hands...

Some additional info on the Zing and Matin Handgrips.
ZING
The padding of the Zing is made of some sort of spongy material (I think it's called neoprene or something like that).
On a warm day, extended use will cause sweaty palm. It comes with a detachable rubberised strap which can be clipped
to the handgrip and loop around the wrist for safety. There's also a metal clip to attached to the belt of your pants where
you can hang the camera via the handgrip to your waist. This IMO is not practical.
The retaining screw that holds the grip to the tripod mounting screw thread is of poor quality.
I have replaced that with a QR plate for better hold and stability.
MATIN
The Matin comes in 2 models, II/III, only difference is the material used. I'm using the III model which is made from leather.
I like the smell of leather. It has a detachable clip to secure the handgrip and camera to your wrist to prevent accidental dropping.
Not so sweaty as the Zing, and with extended use the sweet smell of leather is shiok.
My personsal choice, I prefer the Matin over the Zing. This is from the user's point of view, as I do not have any connections
with the manufacturers nor the distributors. So it's up to you which you prefer. - teerex
Nice meeting you just now, perly. The koskin version is now attached to my camera, and is very comfortable.
Much better than before, when it just had a Optech strap on it.
Just a slight correction ... the inside material is actually listed as neoprene, which I'm guessing means that the skin can breathe a bit ?
But in any case, it's pretty comfortable, and after a sweaty shoot I can probably just disassemble it and put it into
the washing machine. - ericp
Up for perly. Good and prompt seller. Took me a while to figure out how to put it on, but eventually got it despite poor instructions on the back of the package.
This thing works really well, and you literally feel like your hand is glued to the camera.
It really helps reduce hand fatigue specially with a heavy wide angle with a flash on,
and I feel more stable with it. It's a good investment,
